Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Inzo Expense Tracker, operated by InzoDev, collects, how it is used, and with whom it is shared.
The App is a personal expense and shared-expense tracking tool. It is not a bank, payment processor, lender, or financial advisor. It does not connect to real bank or card accounts. Features labeled “Link Account” refer only to a manual account name and starting balance that you enter yourself.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Information We Collect
2.1 Account information
When you register or use the App, we collect:
- Email address
- Display / full name
- Password (handled by Firebase Authentication; we do not store your password in plain text)
- If you sign in with Google, your Google account name, email address, and profile photo (as authorized by you via Google Sign-In) are used to create and access your account — we do not receive your Google password
- Country and preferred currency
2.2 Expense and budgeting data
We store information you create in the App, including:
- Expense amounts, categories (including custom categories), notes, dates, and payment methods
- Linked payment-method accounts (type, name, and starting balance you manually enter — not retrieved from any real bank, card issuer, or wallet)
- Budgets (overall and per category)
- Statement / ledger data derived from your entries
2.3 Receipt images
If you attach a receipt using the camera or photo library:
- The image is stored with your account in our cloud database and linked to the related expense
- If you use receipt scanning/OCR, the image is also sent to Google’s Gemini AI to suggest amount, note, and related fields
2.4 AI chat and voice input
If you use the AI assistant or voice entry:
- Text you type and/or audio you record may be sent to Google’s Gemini AI to interpret expenses, answer questions, or generate summaries
- A financial snapshot of your recent spending and budgets may be included so the assistant can respond usefully
- Conversation history may be stored in your account
- Audio is used to produce a transcript for that feature and is not used for advertising
2.5 Sheets (shared expenses)
If you create or join a Sheet, members of that Sheet can see:
- The Sheet name
- Each member’s name and email
- Shared expenses (amount, category, payment method, note, date, who paid, who splits, who added the expense)
- Balances / settlement information for that Sheet
Invite codes you create or use are stored so others can join a Sheet.
2.6 Push notifications
If you allow notifications, a device push token may be stored (including on Sheet membership data) so we can notify members about Sheet activity (for example, when someone logs a shared expense).
2.7 Device and local data
- Onboarding and similar preferences may be stored locally on the device
- Export files (CSV/PDF) you generate are saved or shared using your device’s storage or share sheet at your request
2.8 Permissions you may grant
Depending on the features you use, the App may request:
- Camera and photos — to capture or attach receipt images
- Microphone — for voice expense entry
- Notifications — for Sheet activity alerts
We do not request access to your contacts, location, SMS, or calendar.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above only to:
- Provide account access and sync your data across devices
- Store, display, edit, analyze, and export your expenses and statements
- Operate shared Sheets, invites, roles, and settlements
